Steel Grease Trap / Fat Trap Weatherproof
Here at Cater Kitchen we supply a wide range of stainless steel and epoxy-coated commercial grade grease traps are designed to effectively help you capture and safely dispose of fats, oils and grease.
Our entry-sized indoor / outdoor grease trap is an ideal solution to service small kitchens. Designed to accommodate a domestic size sink bowl’s flow rate this is a versatile grease trap which can be installed inside or outside
It’s important that when considering what grease trap you may need, that you do not undersize your grease trap. Installing a small grease trap might seem ok and cost-effective but this can cause big problems if more water enters the trap than it is designed to handle. Installing a grease trap that is too small for your environment can result in backing up in your drain and sink and greatly reduced the efficacy of your grease traps primary function: FOG retention.
Built With Flexibility in Mind
Sometimes, for space reasons, it isn’t feasible to install a grease trap directly underneath your sink. But this shouldn’t mean that you can’t as effectively still collect FOG’s. At Cater Kitchen, our specifically designed indoor / outdoor grease trap kit allows you to choose where the trap can be best installed without worrying about weather and outdoor elements. Measuring just 400mm x 350mm x 300mm high, this compact, weatherproof commercial grade grease trap is ultra durable and consequently can be situated above or underground.
Made from thick steel and coated to ensure adverse weather will not affect the grease trap’s integrity, this small outdoor grease trap is accessible from a single screw bolt and, if installed underground, doesn’t need lifting in order to be cleaned. Featuring a thick lid seal which ensures odours remain in the fat trap, simply unscrew and prise open the lid to begin cleaning.
Domestic Grease Management
As suppliers of quality stainless steel kitchen products and commercial grease traps, we are proud to supply various sizes of gravity-fed, passive grease traps which are designed for under sink installation. In addition to our stainless steel range, we also now offer high quality outdoor grease traps otherwise known as epoxy coated grease traps which can be placed above ground or underground.
Specifically created to withstand the elements our range of outdoor grease traps offer flexibility of installation where an under sink grease trap installation is otherwise not achievable. These passive grease traps are designed for all food service establishments and Cater Kitchen actively help restaurants up and down the UK to gain control of their wastewater and FOG management and help ensure compliance to water suppliers such as Anglian Water and Scottish Water.
Cost Effective Grease Management with our Small Outdoor Grease Trap Kit
A passive, or gravity-fed grease trap is possible the most cost effective option when considering grease management. Due to their simplistic design, no power supply is required or expensive filter replacements. The simple action of water flowing via a downward feed in to the trap is sufficient. Once in the trap, the continual flow of water in conjunction with directional baffles inside the trap aide the cooling of the water and thus the grease separation process. The result is an effective grease trap which collects unwanted FOG’s and captures them safely inside the main chamber where it awaits removal. This is by far the least expensive way to manage your waste FOG’s and once purchased, can begin immediately reducing your harmful FOG’s which may enter the public sewer system.
You should check your trap routinely and periodically then empty accordingly. Particularly in the days and weeks following installation. It is recommended to consider a local grease trap cleaning contractor who can carry this out for you. Like under sink grease traps, outdoor and underground grease traps do not have a syphon valve with which to drain off surface FOG’s or empty the collection chamber completely. Therefore it is recommended to employ a contractor who have dedicated suction hoses. Whether you opt for a drainage contractor or decide to clean the grease trap yourself as part of your regular maintenance regime, always remember to dispose of in accordance with your local authority regulations and keep documented evidence.
These underground and outdoor grease traps are designed, stocked and supported in the United Kingdom.
